Jessica Prime

  1. Please Introduce yourself, what is your name, business name, where you are from?

Hello! My name is Jess; I run Jessica Prime Virtual Assistant and I’m in the process of setting up a new and exciting project based around holistic healing and women’s health! I live in Llanelli currently, with my lovely partner Matt and our daughter Seren; although, I am from Cardiff and that is where I consider home.

  1. What is your business about?

Jessica Prime Virtual Assistant is an online support, assisting business owners with whatever it is they need. It’s very much a customer led business. Business owners are very busy, very stressed and often overwhelmed – they don’t always have the time to do what they want to do with their business, or the time management to fit everything in; that’s where I come in – I offer support with the tasks that they can outsource, and that allows them to focus on what is really important, and ultimately to move their business forward.

  1. What made you get into this line of business?

It was a happy accident! I trained as a holistic and spa therapist many years ago, and that’s where my career began, but quickly, I realized that I had a passion for running the administration, supporting management and managing the team diaries. A lovely mentor and manager of mine also noticed this and put me forward for a Business Administration qualification – and this is where it began! I launched Jessica Prime VA officially, when my baby was around a year old, as I wanted the freedom of working for myself, but also to set a good example to her and to be able to teach her how to build up a business and work for yourself. It’s been a very exciting journey!

  1. What makes you get up and go in the morning, do you have a morning power routine?

Seren, my daughter, without a doubt! Whether I like it or not, she is very much an early bird! We don’t have a power routine, more so a family routine. We get up, have a breakfast together and I enjoy a cup of tea! We usually video call my sister to say hello, and then our day begins – and whatever adventures we have planned!

  1. What is the best advice you have ever been given?

A mentor of mine used to say “Kill it with kindness” which I love! I’m a big believer of kindness, so I also like “Be kind or be quiet” which my mum used to say when we were little!

  1. What is a book you would say everyone must read?

Mumpreneur on Fire 3 – its due out in September, and I’m very biased because I contributed a very personal story to it. But in all seriousness, I do recommend it. It’s a collaboration of raw, honest and heart-felt stories from real mum’s in business – but buy some tissues if you plan on reading it, there will absolutely be some tears!

  1. Does your business have any offers on at present or coming up?

No special offers on at the moment in the VA business, as I am currently very busy with some on-going projects, and excited for the launch of my new holistic brand – but keep your eyes peeled for that one, there will be sure to be some amazing special offers once it launches! Watch this space.

  1. What 1 thing do you do to change your mindset instantly?

I do suffer with my mental health, and it’s not always easy to change your mindset – but I do try to remember all the amazing things that I have accomplished, and I remember that I am surrounded by amazing people who care for me, and I have a lovely family to be proud of! I also think it helps to leave yourself little notes around the house, which I do sometimes. Things like “You are enough”, “You are strong” – whatever it is that you need to hear. Do it and let me know if it works for you too!

  1. What do you love most about helping others?

In business, it’s the sense of team work and collaboration – my clients are wonderful, and I’ve made some amazing, long-lasting bonds – they always tell me about their business successes and exciting opportunities that have resulted, and it gives me a massive sense of pride to know that I helped them achieve their goals. In my personal life, it’s just nice to know that you have touched someone and made an impact. I always try my best to be kind and show some love – because you never know when people really need it.

  1. Your favourite quote?

“Mummy” – its not a quote – but I’ll never grow old of hearing my little girl call me that.

Or, “Thank you” because its lovely to feel appreciated.

I would like to thank Jess for her time if you would like to see more of her work please go to Facebook or Website

Have a wonderful day.
