This is on your heart for a reason, dive in, expect miracles, and run after your dream life!

It’s time to design a life and a business you are madly in love with!

  1. What made you get into this line of business?

Where do I even begin?! I have always been a rebel…a rule breaker! I mean…my little girl dream was to be Celine Dion’s backup dancer! I have always been a big dreamer and for a long time, I knew I was meant to leave a legacy! My journey has gone in many directions but my purpose has never changed, I am meant to impact the masses! In 2014, I graduated with a BFA in Visual Art with a Photography Emphasis and a Dance Minor. I truly thought I would get a job easily after graduation and that just didn’t happen!

Month after month, no art job, no anything! I ended up getting promoted and promoted in my retail career which was not what I wanted for my life! In November of that year, I started my first business, an MLM business and I LOVED IT! I dove all in, I loved the comradery and the community, but most of all I loved that this opportunity got me to start dreaming!

The next thing I knew about 5 months later, I was packing up my life in a 10×10 truck and moving across the country to Colorado with the man I was dating at the time. I had just quit my job of 5 years, moved out of my parents home, started a new job, moved across the country, and moved in with my boyfriend. Talk about too many life-changing decisions at one time! My relationship with my boyfriend at the time was never great but I truly just thought it was dramatic. I thought that is just how our relationship was and I was hoping that moving across the country would allow us to grow together. Unfortunately soon after that, my relationship escalated to something that was so unhealthy, so unsafe, and really abusive. I had to get out.

I’m not going to say it was easy because it wasn’t, but eventually, I got the courage to leave that situation and move out on my own. I’m telling you all of this because if it wasn’t for this relationship, I would not have a business. I would not have had the opportunity to grow myself and become the badass confident version of me that I am today and now be able to impact others!

Through adversity comes champions and I am a freakin’ champion! It didn’t take me long to get sick of staying in bed, thinking I was worthless, thinking that was the love I deserved. I had my “enough is enough” moment and just knew none of that was true. I knew I wasn’t living as the Brooke I was meant to be, so I made the decision! Right then I was going to dive massively into my personal development and become the powerful Brooke I always knew I could be!

While growing myself, I continued to grow my MLM business and I grew it all the way to the top 4% of the company! I was on my way to earning my first free car and becoming the top 1% of the company when I met this woman at the mall. Believe it or not, she is the one who changed my life! She is the one I owe my business to; she is the one who introduced me to Facebook groups! The specific facebook group she added me to is the only reason I found the coaching world!

Fast forward to July of 2017. I was working 3 jobs, running my MLM business, seen as a major success yet I still couldn’t pay the bills! I had been on food assistance for almost a year at that point and I had no idea how things were going to become different for my life but all I knew was that this situation was temporary!

Finding the coaching world completely changed my life! I had been praying to do something more! I remember feeling like a bird who had her wings clipped and then I found the coaching world and just knew this was exactly what I was meant to do with my life! This was I was meant to impact the masses and leave my legacy.

I jumped in full speed ahead, found a way to hire a coach, and I RAN! Here we are just over a year later with five-figure months and a six-figure business and growing! There is no amount of time too small to make massive things happen!

  1. What makes you get up and go in the morning, do you have a morning power routine?

What gets me up in the morning is my mission, my legacy! I do have a morning routine but I also honor what I need! Sometimes I do it religiously, other times I don’t! You have to find what works best for you but I absolutely make sure I do something throughout the day to help me grow and learn if I don’t stick to my normal routine!

  1. What is the best advice you have ever been given?

I have no idea why this question is so hard!! I don’t think it’s about the best advice I’ve been given. It’s about all the bad advice that I chose not to listen to and make my own path! Remember, anything that has been said to you or done to you, you don’t have to own any of that! It does not make you who you are!

  1. What is a book you would say everyone must read?

You are a Badass by Jen Sincero

  1. Does your business have any offers on at present or coming up?

Yes of course!! ALWAYS! Right now, my 1:1 program is about to sell out again for the 4th time. I have massive 1:1 mentorship, intensives, courses, masterclasses, everything you need to up-level your confidence and build the business you are obsessed with!

  1. What one thing do you do to change your mindset instantly?

Here’s the thing! It only takes 17 seconds to completely change your energy! For me, remembering my vision, my deeper mission, and why I’m doing all of this in the first place! If needed I will journal about how I’m feeling and journal about what I desire as if it’s already my reality.

37small.jpg

  1. What do you love most about helping others?

Just reading this question makes me smile! What I love the most is that it only takes one. One person I get to impact that gets to impact their friend or family member, that friend or family member impacting someone else, who impacts someone else…. One by one we are changing the world!

  1. Your favourite quote?

Oh gosh, there are so many..way too many to choose one so I will leave you with a quote I wrote the other day as a reminder to constantly follow the fun and say yes to what you truly desire!

“Stop saying no to your soul desires! Every time you say no to a true soul desire, you give your power away and a new fear is born!” -Brooke Allison

Erin Hill

1. Please Introduce yourself, what is your name, business name, where you
are from?

Hi! My name is Erin Hill, and I’m the owner of A Beautiful Mess, LLC in
Cambridge MD

2. What is your business about?

I and a support and accountability coach for women – which is basically
being a cheerleader/personal trainer/drill Sargent/big sister.  I help
women meet their goals by having a safe place to be THEM – unwavering love
and acceptance for who and where they are, and challenging them to take
that next step

3. What made you get into this line of business?

I started about 2 years ago working on ‘self care’ and barely scratching
the surface – so many other coaches were doing the same thing! I felt like
one of many… So I decided to brand myself as the #coachforwivesofaddicts
and lean on my personal experience of being married to not just one but 2
addicts to help women face their co-dependency.  That has turned into
realising that the ‘not enough ness’ doesn’t always manifest as
relationships with someone who’s addicted. It can look like the 5 or 10 or
50 pounds that won’t come off and stay off. It can look like reaching for
an MLM goal and missing it and feeling like a failure. It can look like
simply feeling like there is always a mask to be worn because it’s not
safe to be YOU.

4. What makes you get up and go in the morning, do you have a morning
power routine?

My bladder is what makes me get up 🙂 I love to enjoy my coffee in peace
before I have to make sure the hubs and kids are up and ready and off to
school/work.  I love having a few quiet moments before tackling the day.
I do hit the gym at least 3 days a week, and try to read a little every
day.  My ‘routine’ is more nightly when I’m laying in bed, I practice
gratitude for the day’s events. I also say affirmations/mantras with a
mala I made with a friend.  Then up and at it the next day!

5. What is the best advice you have ever been given?

OOh Great question!!  There’s actually 2 life altering messages – the
first – Things don’t happen TO you – they happen FOR you. The second –
Keep showing up and doing the next right thing.

6. What is a book you would say everyone must read?

I’m not a big reader these days, but I’m working on it! I think I’d say
that everyone must read something for pleasure! In the online business
world, it feels like there’s always a book recommendation – mindset
shifts, personal development, etc. I think allowing ourselves to read
something for pleasure (I love old Stephen King or Dean Koontz, or trashy
romance novels) can help give your mind a break from the constant learn,
do, be, get and relax a bit!

7. Does your business have any offers on at present or coming up?

I’m always looking to connect with women who are ready to get unwavering
support and accountability, and receive reminders about how amazing they
are!  I have weekly, daily, and VIP options starting around $75 per week.

8. What one thing do you do to change your mindset instantly?

Reach OUT! I have a few women in my circle that I know I can hit up if I
start feeling like I’m circling the drain. For me, it’s about momentum.
Getting a handle on the negative thoughts before they start pulling me in.
Reminding myself of the truth – like I’ve survived 100% of my bad days,
and most judgement comes from myself.

9. What do you love most about helping others?

I love to see the smiles. The light-bulb moments when a woman ‘gets it’ –
realises deep within that she is ENOUGH. As she is, how she is, and in who
she is.  It’s really magical!

10. Your favourite quote?

I believe it’s a Rumi quote – “What is for me, can not miss me.”

Christine Lavulo

  1. Please Introduce yourself, what is your name, business name, where you are from?
My name is Christine Lavulo and I am the owner of Christine Lavulo Coaching. I am from Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been married almost 21 years and have 5 sons ages 9-27. I also have a grandson who just turned 4 today.

2. What is your business about?

My business is about helping women overcome the blocks, sabotages and fears that hold them back and creating custom strategies they can easily implement to create their most beautiful life.

3. What made you get into this line of business?

I got into this business by sheer divine inspiration. 8 years ago I decided to separate from my husband and it was a year-long journey that taught me about myself, about people and how to truly have peace and successful relationships. I especially realized that I had the power to create what I wanted to experience. It seems women especially tend to lose themselves in serving their families and meeting the demands that are placed on them through work, family and charitable things we feel called to. And its important that if we lose ourselves, we find ourselves again.

4. What makes you get up and go in the morning, do you have a morning power routine?

I am working on being more consistent with my morning power routine (Power Hour or Miracle Morning). When I’m on the ball, I get up at 6am, read scriptures and say a prayer, expressing gratitude. Then I meditate to receive inspiration. I do a short yoga DVD and if time permits I read some other inspirational book. I work to also do a quick affirmation and visualisation session in the morning.

CLOSE UP ROYAL 1

5.What is the best advice you have ever been given?

The best advice I have ever been given is to take 100% responsibility for my life. I create/cause my world. I can choose to think happy, positive thoughts or be stuck in negativity and that choice will create my experience.

6.What is a book you would say everyone must read?

I think the #1 must read for absolutely everyone is a hard one because I have so many! However, I loved “Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting” by Lyn Grabhorn. This was life changing for me at the time I read it because it was my first introduction to the law of attraction. It was an easy read and I felt it made it more tangible-easier to understand. At the same time I have to say that The Success Principles is life changing for sure! And those basic principles can truly change your life in a big way when implemented.

7. Does your business have any offers on at present or coming up?

Right now I am working on new offers so while I can’t say I have one right this second, I could definitely come up with one in a short period of time. 🙂

8. What one thing do you do to change your mindset instantly?

My #1 thing I do to change my mindset instantly is apply E+R=O. That is always on my mind and when I find myself sinking I just ask myself what I can take responsibility for and start telling a new story.

LIGHT BLUE 1

9. What do you love most about helping others?

It’s selfish but I love the way I feel when I know I’ve positively impacted someone’s life. It feels good to me and it’s incredible satisfying. When you see someone making progress and you know it’s because of something you did or said, it’s hugely rewarding!

10. Your favourite quote?

“Treat a man as he is and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he can and should be and he will become as he can and should be”. _Goethe.

Why you should always believe in yourself!

I have realised recently how I long I spent believing what others thought about me and not listening or believing in myself, I have also realised how amazing life is when you start to believe in yourself.

When I was a child I use to have so much imagination, If I wanted to be a singer I would sing, a dancer I would dance. No one would stop me, I never cared if anyone told me that I could not do it, their opinion did not matter as I had such a determination and abundance of self belief that I would just carry on and do it.

I can not pin point when in my life when this stopped! I have spent so long listening to others, as an example I did not go to London School of Fashion despite being head hunted because I believed that my boyfriend at the time would have left me. I believed that I had to get a job as I needed an income in order to do well in life. How many of you can relate?

The sad truth about the above is that he dumped me anyway, the next is that I could have been the best fashion designer in the world and never need to work or worry about money. You just don’t know and my point here is that when I was a child I didn’t ever think about the outcome I just went for it.

I realised this year that I am someone who is not meant to work for someone else, every job I have had I have always felt I can do their job better, or I would not treat my staff or clients like that. I also hate being told what to do, my mother pointed this out to me when I came up with a new career option ” I am going to join the Army” no idea why I thought that was the answer.

So the point I am at now in my life is that I have worked out what I don’t want, the things I do want, what it is I love to do (not Like, LOVE), and I am not someone who is suited to the 9-5 or working or working for someone else. I have worked out that I have passion, skills, and I can use these and I can help people. I have also realised I should not limit myself to anything.

If I don’t know how to do something I commit to learning all about it, I also do not want to have someone work out how much I am worth I think that is a hideous thought. My husband as an example has worked for 48 hours straight but will get paid for 8am – 5pm because that is his wage, he is worth so much more.

If I could package up his skills and make him see this potential, he would be making a fortune if he could see what I see. I have belief in myself that I am worth more, and worked hard on creating the mindset I had when I was a child that If I believe it, If I keep doing it, work hard and keep believing it will happen. Who cares what anyone else thinks.

Does this make sense?

I do want to tell you that since I have started living like this and believing in myself I have had so many people reach out to me, so many opportunities come my way, and I feel so positive about the future for my business, my family and myself.

I really wish I could show you all what amazing potential you have in yourself and how amazing your life could be, if you believe.

I just wanted to share this with you all, as it was quite a breakthrough in my life and has changed everything. So let me ask you, what did you use to believe? what do you believe now? and lastly if you did not give two monkeys about what others think what would you be doing now?

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Have a wonderful day.

Kris Davies

  1. Please Introduce yourself, what is your name, business name, where you are from?

I am Kris Davies and my business name is also Kris Davies. I am from South Wales, UK

2.What is your business about?

I am a rapid transformational coach for life and business. I help ambitious women who’ve had enough of feeling ‘not being good enough’, who are ready for change and saying yes to themselves, to choose to empower themselves, allowing transformation through support, and rapid techniques.

One technique I use is RTT (rapid transformational therapy) that brings about dramatic change in as little as one session, whatever the issue. It may be issues such as health, weight, fertility, habits, anxiety, motivation, lack of sleep, clarity around life purpose, skin conditions and so on, whatever is stopping you living a fulfilled life of happiness and ultimately freedom of choice to be you and live in life purpose.
Through working with me, my clients’ live life in and on purpose, embracing their skills, finding freedom to be themselves and turn their passion into a profit-making business, instilling daily habits for their growth and mindset, reaching visions they’d forgotten about and now understand anything is possible.

face shot of me

3.What made you get into this line of business?

About 2 years ago, after my youngest child packed her bags and went off to university, I suddenly asked myself, what do I do now? what I have been doing with my life, I had so much potential, where did it go wrong, where did I start giving in to life and it hit me like a sledge-hammer!

I was riddled with bad health, fibromyalgia, arthritis, anxiety and more and was running an extremely successful in-house dog boarding and animal healing business but I was exhausted, living day-to-day by the health issues, my business running me and doing the only thing that I thought was left for me to do as that’s all I could do.

I was lonely, worn out, covered in muck and dog s**t, friendless and within a self-built jail. Where was that ambitious 20-year-old that set up the first beauty salon in Wales and was going to build an empire!

I’d had enough! What was my purpose in life? Surely there was more to life than feeling like this 24-7! I started my search.

I already did daily affirmations and started asking for a clear understanding of my purpose, what that looked like and to be pain-free. Up popped up a ‘join my webinar’ about life purpose, I joined in and decided to talk further to the host who told me I’d make a good coach. Through coaching on-line I could work the hours around my non-negotiables and around the health issues, but I still had the latter.

Implementing daily self-care, delving deeper into what that meant for me, why I had these issues uncovered understanding at an incredible level, releasing past life and ancestral issues. I was getting asked to give talks, invited to networking events, but the conditions got worse, I could help them, but I became bed-ridden. I discovered a phenomenal technique called RTT that my coach was implementing into her work to get people from A-Z fast so thought I’d learn it as I like to go fast myself, then the penny dropped.
I learnt that the mind controls everything and what you ask for you receive. It’s a whole other story about how that works, but I realised that I had been asking for fibromyalgia in order to not shine, not go to these events as I wasn’t good enough and I’d look like a fraud!!!
Hello RTT. I had one session and BINGO fibromyalgia gone. Pain gone.
Understanding why I’d gone through these stages, issues in life and life’s lessons allowed me to realise my purpose and to help others take back their lives and reach for the stars. Combining coaching/mentoring, RTT and other techniques I live in and on purpose to help others do the same. Why? because I love it, it makes my life fulfilled and happy.

me with cup cheers.jpg
4.What makes you get up and go in the morning, do you have a morning power routine?
My purpose gets me up in the morning. It’s not work, it’s a calling and I get to choose how I do it. When you have something as rewarding as this that’s life changing for others, it’s not work, or a chore, or a task its phenomenal and showing others to do the same is empowering for me.
My morning power routine consist of meditation, looking in the mirror and telling myself that I’m gorgeous, I am worth it, I AM ENOUGH, I visualise and set the intention for the day ahead and how I choose to feel whatever comes up.
5.What is the best advice you have ever been given?
To be who you were meant to be, nobody else, you are unique and unique for a reason, there’s no one else quite like you, because each and every person have different skills and a reason for their life. Live in your purpose, praise yourself, as the only person that truly needs to know how awesome you really are is you and to be you is freeing.

6.What is a book you would say everyone must read?
One of the first self-development books that I ever read, that impacted my life years ago and I still refer to is ‘The Success Principles: How to get from where you are to where you want to be’ by Jack Canfield
7.Does your business have any offers on at present or coming up?
I offer a range of ways of working with me to suit most pockets from audio recordings, to 1-1 packages. For the month of August the RTT package is on offer on application. I am holding a Zoom Call on Wednesday 8th August if you would like to attend please go to Discover Rapid Transformation Coaching and RTT

8.What one thing do you do to change your mindset instantly?

I have now done enough self work on myself to know that I can simply change my mindset by deciding how I want to feel, this takes inner awareness and consistent effort to reach this level or if you’re open to instant change, you can just believe it’s so. One tip to start the process is by writing I AM ENOUGH on every mirror in the house in red lipstick, and putting this statement, plus how else you want to feel on a reminder on your phone to pop every 30 mins, every hour as you need, read it, allow it in, change how you feel, keep practising it.
9.What do you love most about helping others?
Seeing them shine, become who they had remembered they were and living a fulfilled free life on their terms.

10.Your favourite quote?

‘I believe the world is plotting to do me good today. I can’t wait to see what it is!’-Jack Canfield

Or
‘Put up or Shut up!’ from a very wise lady that I used to be a skin care rep for. Love it!

Marta Ceccato

  1. Please Introduce yourself, what is your name, business name, where you are from?

Hi, my name is Marta and I’m the founder of Sapiens Media Coaching . I’m Italian but I have been living in London since 2001.

  1. What is your business about?

I help entrepreneurs create an effective business strategy and choose the right online marketing tactics to launch and grow their business effectively, efficiently and effortlessly. The clients I work with are either looking to start a business or need help to scale their start-up to the next level. My role is to help them craft a clear business strategy and choose the right marketing tactics; put together an action plan and hold them accountable.

3.What made you get into this line of business?

In my early 20s I move to London

I had a degree, some working experience and plenty of ambition. Little did I know that my career in London would start at McDonald’s.

From having two minimum wage jobs just to pay the bills; sharing a room with five people; going into debt and being in a toxic relationship where the constant criticism undermined my confidence, a few years later, my life was a million miles from what I had imagined.

After an emotional breakdown and months of despair, I decided enough was enough.

“I” BECAME MY MAIN PRIORITY

I came up with a 12-month plan.

I went on and achieved a marketing qualification and a higher diploma in business strategy and I qualified as a coach.

By my 30s I was earning a six-figure salary, I had my own place and a high-flying job.

I carried on climbing the corporate ladder.

I worked with some of the major brands: King, Johnson & Johnson, Tesco, Diageo, PayPal and became well-respected in my industry.

I thought I made it!

One day, 5 years later, on my way back from the hospital after an unexpected medical procedure, heartbroken and in pain, I realized that after all I wasn’t living the life of my dreams.

I had left Italy to make a difference not to be in a 9 to 6 job and… feeling guilty to be too unwell to go to work.

That was it! I had to start my own business and be in control!

I knew what with my 15 years’ online marketing and business strategy experience I could really help others with their businesses.

founded Sapiens Media Coaching.

Today, I teach entrepreneurs create an effective business strategy and choose the right online marketing tactics to launch and grow their businesses effectively, efficiently and effortlessly.

  1. What makes you get up and go in the morning, do you have a morning power routine?

I love what I do so I wake up every morning really motivated. My morning routine is quite simple. I start with a coffee while listening to my daily podcast and then I check my emails and map out my day.

  1. What is the best advice you have ever been given?

Focus on progression over perfection

Perfectionism can be more of a vice than a virtue.
For years I battled the “all or nothing” mindset that prompts setting impossibly high standards.
Being a perfectionist meant that I struggled to delegate; I never rested as “the job was never done” – and the job was never done because to me it was never perfect.
So now, whenever the “all or nothing” mindset kicks in, I ask myself: “What’s the worst that could happen?” and “What could I be missing out on?”

  1. What is a book you would say everyone must read?

It’s a book from Dale Carnegie called: “How to win friends and influence people”.

  1. Does your business have any offers on at present or coming up?

I’m launching Fast-Track to Launch 6-week group coaching program at the beginning of October. This program is for people who are looking to create and launch a signature program but don’t know where to start from.

As this is a new program, I’m offering an introductory pricing to the first 5 people who apply.

For those interested you can apply at Fast Track Launch Program

  1. What one thing do you do to change your mindset instantly?

I step back and take a few deep breaths to help my mind switch.

  1. What do you love most about helping others?

I believe in the abundance that derives and from giving. Being able to make a difference in another person’s life is really rewarding and fulfilling for me.

  1. Your favourite quote?

Virtually nothing is impossible in this world if you just put your mind to it and maintain a positive attitude.

Thank you so much Marta for your interview and sharing this with us, simply amazing.

Being a psychology major and also a hairdresser I realized it was needed. I’ve always envisioned myself doing something big, but I did not know what it was going to be! Little bit of a twist today I thought that I would mix it up and interview myself as a Women Of Wisdom. Vain I know but I do feel I have a lot that I can share with you and I am very wise!! Obviously!

  1. Please Introduce yourself, what is your name, business name, where you are from?

I am Michele Marie Liddle, I am from Norfolk UK. I am a blogger for well this site, and founder of She Steps Up.

2. What is your business about?

She Steps Up Blog is a blogging site where I write about business, mindset, mental health, and parenting advice these are all things that are me! I also include some spiritual stuff as I am a huge believer in energy, crystals and the universe. I also run a feature called “Women Of Wisdom” which I created as I wanted a space that showed off amazing women in business and share them with my community.

I have also set up a new part of She Steps Up which is creating content and transcribing podcasts, and Facebook Lives for female entrepreneurs who maybe do not enjoy the creative writing side of their business or  maybe they just want to be free and have time to reach out to their clients more.

3.What made you get into this line of business?

I love writing it is a passion for me and I know from speaking with other women in business that not everyone finds it as enjoyable as I do or as easy. Having done MLM, and Coaching, as well as working with coaches I know how much writing we have to do on a daily business to get ourselves seen and clients in the door. Words have a big impact!

If you don’t find writing easy it creates blocks which can then affect other areas of your business. I also love to support other women in business and I believe that providing this service I can free them up to be more effective in the areas of business they love.

The blog was more of a therapy thing why I decided what avenue to take next, but it has now become my baby.

4.What makes you get up and go in the morning, do you have a morning power routine?

My passion for what I am doing now! I never felt like this with any other business or job I have been in. I love that I am being creative every day and helping others.

I do have a morning power routine that I do every morning! I wake up and do a guided meditation, I then listen to a powerful video or talk on Youtube before my feet even touch the ground. This gets me pumped up and ready for the day.

I will sometimes journal in the morning if not I then go get my coffee and cereal then check my messages. I do believe that the first moments in the morning are what set you up for the rest of the day so I like to make it a positive experience.

5.What is the best advice you have ever been given?

This is a hard one I have been given so much advise over the years, and told others some good advice also. The first thing that comes to mind though is do not ever give up. Now I have quit a lot of things and stopped doing things but this was not me giving up this was me moving on. There is a difference.

I am very aware that I am meant for bigger things and I am meant to help others so if the things I have been doing in the past where not getting me there then I stopped them and moved direction onto a path that was getting me closer towards the place I needed to be.

I believe I am here now so I am not giving up.

6.What is a book you would say everyone must read?

I am going to be doing a post about this soon as I have loads but I will say the book “You Are Amazing” by Sonia Choquette-Tully  and Sabrina Choquette-Tully is a must for any female. It is such a good read and I had so many “Ah-Ha” moments when reading it. So go to Amazon now and get a copy you won’t regret it.

7. Does your business have any offers on at present or coming up?

I do, I have just set up all my pricing and packages for my content and transcribing business so I am doing an introductory offer for August 2018 for my Platinum Package which is the all singing, all dancing package. I am giving a massive £2000 discount for a 90 day package!

8.What One thing do you do to change your mindset instantly?

This I have to do a lot as I am someone who deals with mental health issues and long-term illness that all have an effect on my mindset. I have found that meditation can very quickly calm me and centre me to put me back on track. I am also a great fan of just removing myself from situations, I will take myself away and just sit and be calm or grab a book. Reading is my number one hobby so reading always takes me away to my happy place.

9.What do you love most about helping others?

I love to help people so much, I have been in situations where no one has helped me and I have been in situations where I have had many people help me so I know how it feels to be on both ends. I love to see other people succeed and achieve their dreams, I love the feeling I get inside from doing something that helps another person. I also think it is a beautiful thing to do as a human and more people should do it. Simple acts of kindness go a long way, you never know that one thing you do that is so easy could be the major thing someone else needed in order to change their life around.

10.Your favourite quote?

This is an easy one and I have it tattooed on my forearm in  beautiful vintage mirror “Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and its better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring” by Marilyn Monroe.

Elizabeth Smith

  1. Please Introduce yourself, what is your name, business name, where you are from?

My name is Elizabeth Smith (aka Liz to most!) and I am the owner and founder of The GURU Co based in |Norfolk England.

  1. What is your business about?

My business is about ‘you’, my fellow human beings! G.U.R.U with the focus on developing and growing you as a person and an individual. I work with people who know there is more to life, who seek to unblock their blocks and not accept the default position is fete accompli! I offer bespoke Personal Development Coaching packages to support my clients in creating possibilities by opening up new thought processes to take them to their finest moments and mastery of their own minds and destiny. My mission is to offer students the opportunity to open new avenues of growth and I do this through my online courses and group training’s covering topics such as introductions to Neuro Linguistic Programming and onwards to certificated training’s and registrations with the INLPTA (International Neuro Linguistic Programme Training Association), Self-worth and courage.

  1. What made you get into this line of business?

I have been a Registered Mental Health Nurse for many years working in numerous roles and environments. I worked with many people during my career who have become so shut down by their negative thoughts and experiences. Suffocated by the lack of freedom or perceived choice in their lives and developed such a limited view of their futures it had resulted in them being referred to the Mental Health Services.

I have an absolute passion and belief in the human minds and its ability to expand and achieve the most unbelievable results. I stumbled across NLP more than 10 years ago when I was working in General Practice settings. I was using traditional approaches based including the medical model which means medication and became very despondent with the response and outcomes I was seeing.

I discovered NLP quite by accident and from a very strange source, which is why I am totally convinced by the saying ‘when the student is ready, the teacher appears’. My journey took me to Courses in Norfolk, Suffolk and finally qualifying as a Trainer of NLP in North Yorkshire. The changes in my personal life were remarkable and to those patients and clients I was working with, beyond words.

The techniques transformed my practice, my expectations of individuals and in turn we had astonishing breakthroughs. The creation of my business allows me to work creatively through coaching with a vast range of clients in all walks of life and I love it!

  1. What makes you get up and go in the morning, do you have a morning power routine?

My reason for getting up in the mornings is so simple…I love life and I love making a difference. It may sound a little gushy but I actually find people and the human race fascinating, so I count myself very lucky to have a job I love. I am inspired by the people I meet and those I work with so I very rarely find getting out of bed difficult.

I certainly do have a morning routine which is loosely based on The Miracle Morning process. I am an early riser so I start with, Silence / meditation I incorporate this with ‘Ha’ breathing. I learnt this breathing technique about 7 years ago and it comes from Hawaiian roots. It is amazing for clearing that groggy feeling in your head, replenishes the oxygen in your brain. I the use positive affirmations visualising my goals and it’s a simple as that, I listen to my audio book or a YouTube podcast whilst I put my face on.

  1. What is the best advice you have ever been given?

This is a tough question because I think there have been many influencer’s in my life but if I had to pick one think it would be to remain at all times curious….This advice has helped me in many areas but especially when coaching people. By remaining curious you ask different questions rather than making a judgement. It is most often this curiosity which allows me and a client to delve deep into alternative thinking processes or challenge old beliefs, practice new strategies to move forward in life.

  1. What is a book you would say everyone must read?

I think the book of choice for absolutely anyone who is interested in their personal development and growth has to be The Peaceful Warrior. I believe it was a film but I’ve not seen it, however I do love a book because I can build my own frames of reference, turn the corners down to mark something of importance!

  1. Does your business have any offers on at present or coming up?

Yes! In the autumn I am running a ‘FREE’ Seminar in Norfolk to introduce people to Neuro Linguistic Programming. I am working on it at the moment and looking for a beautiful venue where the delegates can relax and absorb new learnings….they will never be the same again! I will be advertising this on my business page on Facebook and on my website.

  1. What One thing do you do to change your mindset instantly?

Now this is easy and anyone can do this…I change my body language. Take note of when you are feeling doubtful, shy, fearful, unhappy, angry; notice your posture the tilt of your head and where you are breathing from. All of this is signally to your brain that something is wrong. Change this to mirror the mindset and feeling you want to project such as head up, long breaths, shoulders down and hands relaxed…experience the change!

  1. What do you love most about helping others?

I love to be of service. The experience of adding value to anyone’s life and world is enormously humbling experience which is extremely difficult to describe in words. I would like to say it is altruistic but it really isn’t I get so much personal pleasure and buzz from seeing people absolutely blossom and achieve things they really didn’t believe they could.

  1. Your favourite quote?

My favourite quote is directly from the NLP which is ‘what’s possible for another, is possible for me’

Rebecca Dowden

  1. Please Introduce yourself, what is your name, business name, where you are from?

Hi! I’m Rebecca and I’m originally from NJ but I’ve lived in Rome, New Orleans, NYC and am now back in NJ! My business, Brandstory Design, is a brand strategy and web design company.
2.What is your business about?

My business helps entrepreneurs who are feeling lost in the sea of other online businesses and want to have a kick ass brand that sets them apart. I work 1-1 with clients and take them from wherever they’re at with their branding and website, and guide them all the way to Point Z where they have a finished Wix website, a cohesive online presence, and confidence in their messaging and sales strategy!

A key pillar of my business is founded in storytelling. I am confident that using stories in your branding and business is the best way to achieve authenticity, attract an audience organically, and build a business that you feel warm and fuzzy about. I help my clients discover the stories they can use in their business and actually walk them through the action-steps to take to implement them in their day-to-day social media posts and conversations.

3.What made you get into this line of business?

I used to do freelance web design and spoke with dozens of business owners who had wasted so much time and money on designs with no branding or strategy in place first. My mission is to ensure that your investment in your website and branding is actually an investment that brings in returns – i.e. you get real results, like income and clients, from the branding work we do together.

On a personal note, I left my full-time job to pursue my business after I finally found my passion at age 23: to create. I love creating things from websites to paintings to jewellery to videos to literally anything. I’ve been creating since I could hold a crayon and I’m still proud of the things I made over 10 years ago. I combined this passion with my passion for helping entrepreneurs to build a business where I create brands and branding identity for my clients.

4.What makes you get up and go in the morning, do you have a morning power routine?

Coffee lol. I’m not a morning person so I don’t have a crazy morning routine where I go for a 5-mile run at 5am or spend an hour journaling about my goals or anything. My two goals each morning are 1. Avoid looking at my phone and 2. Set an intention while making coffee.

I think immediately looking at screens and notifications when you wake up is just setting yourself up for stress. I give myself time and space in my own head before scrolling the endless feed of social updates. And once I’m out of bed, I make coffee and envision myself having the best day ever. I think about all the things I am going to do that day and I imagine them being amazing. For example, this morning over coffee I envisioned myself doing this interview on a live talk show with the audience on the edge of their seats for what I would say next. It’s a bit silly and day-dream-like but things like that are part of my “Million Dollar vision” which is a practice I use for my money and success mindset in my business.

5.What is the best advice you have ever been given?

Don’t listen to other people. When I was about to leave my job, I randomly met someone who was a friend of a friend who had his own business of over 20 years. I asked him what advice he would give me and he told me that everyone and their mom would try to give you advice or tell you how to run your business, but ultimately, you have to listen to your gut and do what you think is right. And it’s true. Only you know whats right in your business and while I’m a strong believer in constructive criticism, you have to be the one making the final calls at the end of the day.

6.What is a book you would say everyone must read?

That’s tough… I use Blinkest which is an app for summaries of business books so if anything, I’d recommend that. One of my favorite Blinks I read lately was The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. I think the message that you are allowed to want whatever you want and you shouldn’t compare your life to others is so true. Plus, it’s a really a book about happiness and who doesn’t love being happy?

Another book I essentially have to recommend is Story Brand by Donald Miller. And no, I did not name my business after the book. I actually had a friend recommend the book to me after I started my business and it was absolutely the most helpful book for branding I’ve ever read (and that’s saying something). Miller walks you through step by step the actions you can take right now to start improving your brand messaging. It’s guaranteed to blow your mind.

7.Does your business have any offers on at present or coming up?

Always! Right now I’m focusing most of my time on a Marketing and Money Mastermind that I’m co-launching with Heather Doran in September. The program is for entrepreneurs who are ready to stop procrastinating the important business-y stuff and want to have fun while doing it. We’ll be running a 4-month 15-person group with weekly trainings on building a Wix website, managing your finances in Quickbooks, preparing for tax season, and automating your social media messaging with Tailwinds. We’re currently accepting applications!

8.What’s 1 thing do you do to change your mindset instantly?

I remind myself that success does not equal money. So many people, especially in the US, equate financial success with life success and a lot of online entrepreneurs are guilty of this too. How often do we see coaches and consultants bragging about their success in terms of their latest 10k or 20k month? And while those are great successes that should be celebrated, it’s important to celebrate other definitions of success as well.

Whenever I’m feeling unsuccessful or feel like I’m failing, I remind myself of my personal measurements of success which include freedom, flexibility, and time spent with people I love. Even being able to stay in my pyjamas while I work all morning is success for me lol! I would encourage all people, not just entrepreneurs, to define what success is for you and hold onto that on the days when you don’t sign a new client or a sale you really wanted falls through or something else makes you feel like you’re failing.

9.What do you love most about helping others?

On the note from the last question, my definition of success for my clients also includes more than money. There’s an exercise I do where we work to figure out your USP which I call your Unique Story and Personality versus the old business school textbook definition of “unique selling point”. Before this exercise, clients usually say, “I’m boring. I don’t really have anything unique or fun to share”. This is never true of course, but as humans, we don’t see the things that make us truly amazing for some reason. After this exercise, the client’s face lights up and they realize how many things about them are unique and incredible. My goal is that after just 10min, I can have them saying “Hell yeah! I’m awesome, obviously, people will want to work with me!” Being able to shine a light on people’s strengths is my favorite part of my business.
