We miss seeing y'all IRL at our panels, or at our Happy Hours with pints in hand, but until we’re all sure we can be safe together, we’re bringing our workshops, networking events, and featured experts to you via Zoom.

To keep our programming valuable and impactful, we’re we’re limiting our online events to be small and intimate - typically no more than 10-15 people, depending on the event. Britt McLaughlinn grew up in Bucks County where her mom was a Realtor and her dadwas a residential builder, filling Britt's childhood memories with open houses, job sites, and day-dreaming about building her perfect home one day. While not messing with locks and keys, Britt enjoys family bike rides with my partner and his daughter and exploring Philly's best food, festivals, and fun. We'll talk to our panelists about the importance of mental health for women, overcoming the stigma of therapy, and how to get started on your own mental health journey.

Meet Our Expert Panelists

Maia Rosser is a dj, doula and social worker. For over 15 years, Maia has worked in prison advocacy, women's health, emergent care, trauma and behavioral health. She is an alumnus of University of Pennsylvania and have made Philadelphia & NYC home for 10 years. Currently Maia is part time faculty in Alvernia University’s social work program. She has a boutique doula practice, Lovely Doula Services; her first birth was 2007. After 12 years of psychiatric care, labor support and DJing parties, Maia knows that positive connections are vital.

Anna Stewart is a Pre-Licensed Professional, MFT and graduate of Thomas Jefferson University’s Couple and Family Therapy Program with a concentration in sex therapy. She is a systemically-oriented therapist who has experience working with individuals, couples, and families. She specializes in distressed couples with one or both individuals experiencing diagnoses such as depression, and anxiety. Anna also specializes in clients that are working in the food and beverage service industry, a population she is well-acquainted with. Her style of therapy involves collaborating with clients in personalizing treatment plans to best suit their needs. She believes that clients are the experts on their own lives and how they prefer to navigate them.

Sue Ellen Zhang, M.S.Ed, LPC is an experienced Mental Health Counselor who focuses on women, young mothers and trauma-focused practice. Sue Ellen is also a serial entrepreneur who enjoys exploring new opportunities. She has a passion and purpose for inspiring others to be their best selves and live their happiest lives.

By day, Tonya Russell is a social media director and publicist, but in her spare time, fitness is everything. She is an avid runner, yogi, and traveler-sometimes combining all three loves. She's not afraid to talk about mental health, and she's open about therapy and her history with eating disorders and anxiety. She lives in South Jersey with her fiancee and four fur babies.

She Steps Up Founding Member (and professional financial adviser!) [Heather][0] will be leading us through a simple personal fiance worksheet that will help you get ahold of the basics of personal finance--without the shaming for indulging in lattes or avocado toast.

During and after the workshop, attendees will have the chance to mingle and order food and drink from [Bloomsday Cafe][1]'s menu of uncomplicated food and superb coffee ☕No laptop required, but bring a pen or pencil if you'd like to take a stab at filling out the worksheet. You can also jot down and bring the following info about monthly expenses:

  • Any health, disability, life, etc. insurance $ not deducted from your paycheck

  • Home/Auto/Renters/etc insurance
  • Average utility costs
  • Loan payments
  • Credit card debt payments
